The Pedigree Project is an independent project not owned or managed by any club or registry. It has been in development since 2002 and online since 2006. The focus of this project has always been to be used as reference resource for breeders. It is also a source for pet owners to learn the pedigrees of their beloved dogs. This project would not exist without the help of our breeders & owners.
While the data contained within the dbS is collaborative, the costs to maintain the domains, hosting, software, etc. have never been. The purpose of this fundraiser is to obtain the funds needed in order to establish an upgrade and operational plan which will allow us to renew our domains and hosting for 5-year terms, upgrade our management software, and upgrade & modernize our online pedigree program. Our target to achieve this goal is $985.00 US.
Funds donated will be used for the following:
- website hosting renewal, 5-year term
- website domain renewals, 5-year term each
- upgrade the online pedigree program; current version is obsolete and not supported
- upgrade database management program + additional support; current program is obsolete and will soon not be supported by the developer
